Welcome to Wellbeing Active, your community hub for getting more active and feeling great! We’re here to support everyone in the Queensway community of Wellingborough on their journey to a more active lifestyle.


Our Mission

We believe that being active is for everyone, regardless of age, fitness level, or background. Wellbeing Active is dedicated to creating accessible, fun, and inclusive opportunities for you to move your body, connect with your neighbours, and improve your overall health and wellbeing.


Our Partners

This initiative is made possible through a powerful partnership of local and national organisations committed to your wellbeing. We’re proud to be working with:

  • Glamis Hall: A community hub at the heart of Queensway, offering a friendly space for activities and support.
  • Queensway Medical Centre: Providing expert health advice and guidance to ensure our activities are safe and beneficial for all.
  • Northamptonshire Sport: Offering professional expertise and resources to help us create a vibrant and effective program.
  • North Northamptonshire Council: Supporting our efforts to build a healthier, more active community for everyone.
  • Parkrun UK: Encouraging free, weekly, community events all over the country to help you get out and walk, jog, or run.
  • University of Staffordshire: Contributing research and insights to help us develop the most effective strategies for community health.
  • Wellbeing Walkers Club: A local group dedicated to organising regular walking activities for all fitness levels.
  • Wellbeing Runners Club: A community-focused running club that offers support and training for new and experienced runners.

Get Involved

Ready to take the first step? We have a variety of activities and resources available to help you get started. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or haven’t been active in years, there’s something for you.


  • Join a Parkrun: A free, weekly 5k event that’s fun, friendly, and open to everyone. You can walk, jog, run, volunteer, or cheer. It’s a great way to start your Saturday morning!
  • Walk and Talk Groups: Meet up with others for a gentle stroll around Queensway. It’s a fantastic way to connect with people while getting some fresh air.
  • Community Sessions: We’ll be hosting various taster sessions and classes at Glamis Hall and other local venues. Keep an eye on this page and our social media for updates on upcoming events like chair yoga, tai chi, and more!
  • Local Resources: We’ll provide information on local parks, walking trails, and other free resources you can use to stay active on your own or with family and friends.
